I was born and raised in Texas and have lived in several corners of this state. Social work has given me a career I love. Supervision is how I give some back — to the next generation of clinicians, and to the Texans they will go on to serve.
Nearly two decades in behavioral health: inpatient and outpatient therapist, Director of multiple clinical programs both for‑profit and non‑profit, and now individual practice. I am trained in EMDR (certification imminent), DBT skills, CBT and REBT, and trauma‑focused modalities including TF‑CBT and CPT, always working from a trauma‑informed lens.
What Texas asks of you
The numbers and process can look overwhelming, however spread across at least two years and with a supportive supervisor, it is entirely achievable.
Your actual clinical work in the field, accumulated over the supervision period.
Time with your clinical supervisor — the group hours you'll spend with me.
Supervision is expected to last at least 2 years. This time frame is the floor and not always the target for everyone.
The hours you work
Roughly 30 hours a week in a clinical setting will finish 3,000 hours inside the 24‑month minimum. A minimum of 4 hours per week doing clinical work is required.
Part‑time work is welcome — it simply extends the timeline beyond two years.

How supervision runs
Initial consultation
A conversation to be sure the group and your specific needs are a genuine fit before anything is signed.
Agreement & plan
Supervision agreement, clinical supervision plan, and a template letter for your employer.
Twice‑monthly groups
Two hours per meeting, two meetings a month, with two to six colleagues alongside you.
Exam & licensure
We prepare for the LCSW exam together, and submit all required paperwork to BHEC at the end of Supervision.
What we actually discuss
Online, across Texas
Groups meet primarily online, so where you live is not a barrier. If enough supervisees form a group locally, we can meet in a hybrid arrangement.
Group, with room for individual
Most hours are group hours. Some individual hours are available when your situation calls for them.
Less than you fear
Nothing goes to the Board until the end of supervision. In the meantime, you and I each keep records of supervision hours, clinical hours worked toward supervision, and topics covered.
I provide a template letter for your employer to agree to outside supervision — you don't have to approach that alone.
$80 per hour
Most of your hours are group hours; some individual hours are available. At two two‑hour meetings a month, that is four supervision hours monthly toward your 100.
